What is an Educational Psychologist?
Educational Psychologists, EPs or Ed Psychs are a trained professional with specialist knowledge and expertise in multiple areas associated with the process of learning and development.
What clients do you work with?
At Ark ED, we believe the world is our oyster! Therefore no client is considered too big or too small. At the very least, if we cannot help then we'll try to find somebody that can.
Typically, Educational Psychologists focus their involvement with children and young people within the range of 0-25 years.
Additionally, Educational Psychologists regularly work alongside the range of educational settings, educators, professionals and other key adults around children and young people to facilitate robust psychological understandings of their lived experiences.
Do you complete diagnostic assessments?
Educational Psychologists are not diagnosticians. At Ark Ed we adopt an ethos of immersing ourselves with those that know the child/ young person best whilst offering our unique perspective as a psychologist.
Additionally, we are able to offer Educational Psychology input to support processes associated with SEND identification and providing psychological advices as part of multi-disciplinary care, health and educational assessment processes.
